She said yes … eventually.
Post Malone admitted his fiancée turned down his first proposal in Las Vegas two years ago because he was way too intoxicated.
“I had lost a significant amount of money at the table,” the “Rockstar” rapper, 28, said in Wednesday’s episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast.
“We go upstairs, and I’m off-my-rocker hammered, and I was like, ‘Hey, you wanna marry me?’ I got a ring and all this stuff. And she said, ‘No.'”
Fortunately, Post’s partner — whose identity has been kept anonymous — was willing to give the “Sunflower” artist a second chance once he sobered up.
“She’s like, ‘Ask me tomorrow,’ and I was like, ‘All right.’ And then I did, and I was sober, and it was nice,” he recalled.
The curly-haired crooner clarified that they are “not married” yet and it was “just a proposal.”
Post, who revealed in June 2022 that he welcomed his first child with his mystery fiancée, shared that he always knew she was his soulmate.
“I could tell … her heart is so massive. I’ve always wanted kids and a big family. And I could tell she was going to be a really good mama,” he gushed. “And she’s, like, No. 1 mom in the f—king universe.”
The Grammy nominee, whose real name is Austin Post, also credited his fiancée for helping him battle his dependence on alcohol.
“I just have super beautiful people around me, and I met a really beautiful person that made me feel like a human being again,” he said, adding, “She saved my f—king life — it’s pretty epic.”
But Post noted that he does plan on partaking in some boozing when he and his fiancée eventually tie the knot.
“I’d imagine an ice luge for brews that’s just steady going,” he shared. “Dance moves are gonna be hopefully popping.”
The chart-topper simultaneously shared the news of his engagement and fatherhood in June 2022 during an interview on “The Howard Stern Show.”
“[At] 2:30 in the afternoon, I went and I kissed my baby girl,” he said on the SiriusXM show before Howard Stern asked, “What baby girl? Are you referring to your girlfriend or you have a baby?”
The singer then clarified, “No, that’s my daughter.”
And when the radio host asked Post whether he should refer to the mother of his child as his girlfriend or wife, the heavily tattooed star /confirm/ied, “She’s my fiancée.”
Post first revealed he was expecting a baby in May 2022.
“I’m excited for this next chapter in my life. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been, and for since I could remember I was sad,” he told TMZ at the time. “Time to take care of my body and my family and friends, and spread as much love as we can every day.”
Post has lived a quieter life since moving from California to Utah in 2019 — a year after he and his ex-girlfriend Ashlen Diaz ended their three-year relationship.
“People wanted me to stay in LA — that’s where the work gets done — but I was fed up,” he told Billboard in January 2022 of his relocation.
“There’s always something to do, and someone always wants something from ya — and I didn’t want to go crazy.”
