Melissa Gorga has accepted her “unfortunate” relationship with estranged sister-in-law Teresa Giudice.
“It is the new normal. I think it just is what it is. I always say it’s unfortunate. I’ll never be, like, happy about that,” Gorga told Entertainment Tonight at the “Lift” premiere in New York on Monday.
Gorga added, “But we’re all living, and we’re happy, and sometimes things just need to take its course. Right now that’s definitely how it is.”
The “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star also teased that unlike past seasons of the hit Bravo show the new season won’t primarily focus on their rocky relationship.
“The biggest misconception is that it’s gonna be more drama between me and my sister-in-law,” Gorga said. “We don’t even, like, look at each other.”
Gorga didn’t reveal exactly when the new season will air, but she heard that it’ll be sometime in “early spring.”
In December, the Envy boutique founder told Pvnew that it “feels amazing” to no longer be trying to make a relationship with Giudice work.
Giudice, 51, previously told fans at BravoCon 2023 that the “chapter’s closed” between her and her brother, Joe Gorga, and his wife, Melissa, 44.
“The feeling is mutual,” Melissa told us a month later.
Despite Melissa and Teresa no longer being in each other’s lives, it appears that they still filmed together –– including co-star Jennifer Fessler’s birthday in August.
While they might be civil together, it doesn’t look like they’re rekindling their relationship anytime soon, since Giudice wasn’t invited to a “family dinner” with several of the “RHONJ” stars last week.
“The group is welcoming 2024 with only good energy,” a source told us at the time, and added the night was “really fun, positive and joyous.”
Melissa and Joe have had a tumultuous relationship with Giudice for years. However, their relationship turned sour for good after the three got into an explosive fight on the Season 13 finale.
Giudice and her husband, Luis Ruelas, had a secret conversation with Joe over a rumor that Melissa was cheating on him.
Melissa has vehemently denied cheating, but the damage was done, and the couple ultimately ditched Giudice and Ruelas’ August 2022 wedding.
