Travis Kelce is eating well on game day.
The Kansas City Chiefs star’s childhood friend and personal chef, Kumar Ferguson, revealed that the football star eats over 4,000 calories on practice and game days.
The former truck driver — who prepares three daily meals for his star client — told Kansas City Magazine that Kelce, 34, eats oatmeal with fresh fruit for breakfast and seafood alfredo for dinner.
Ferguson — who began working as Kelce’s chef in 2016 — shared that he keeps the football player’s diet fresh by always looking for new inspiration and regularly studying and consuming food news.
Because of his time driving trucks, Ferguson was exposed to many different types of cuisines, as well as the fact that he grew up with an African-American father and an Indian mother.
Kelce, on the other hand, grew up with a father who loved to be on the grill.
“His dad is actually a grill master, so that’s where I got filets in our diet,” Ferguson told the magazine, adding that the football star also consumes Hawaiian heat wings and deep-fried Australian lobster to keep him lean.
The rigorous diet has worked well for the two-time Super Bowl Champ, who has been killing it on the field.
Although he mostly sticks to his diet, Kelce does indulge in a sweet treat from time to time — especially when it’s prepared by his girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
Last month, retired NFL star Bernie Kosar revealed that the “Bad Blood” singer, also 34, baked cinnamon rolls for her beau, whom she went public with in September, before his big game against the Chicago Bears on Sept. 24.
“Taylor is so nice,” Kosar shared on the “Tobin and Leroy” show on Dec. 18. “She comes in by herself, she’s so cool, she brings … she made her homemade cinnamon rolls for Travis for a pregame meal.”
Swift’s cinnamon rolls also have a surprising connection to Travis’ mom, Donna Kelce, because they’re her most prized holiday dish.
“I bake cinnamon rolls. They’re always my favorite, my go-to,” the 71-year-old told Us Weekly last month, explaining that she “can only do it a couple times a year” because it’s “so sugary.”
