This is what she was made for.
Billie Eilish switched things up on the Golden Globes 2024 red carpet on Sunday, trading the more traditional gown or structured suit for a very scholastic oversized blazer and khaki skirt combo by Willy Chavarria.
She completed the look with a crisp white button-down featuring a Peter Pan collar, along with a black necktie, pink ankle socks, and black Mary-Jane shoes.
As for accessories, Eilish kept things simple, opting for stud earrings and wire glasses as she was joined by brother Finneas, who wore a classic all-black tux on the red carpet.
The 22-year-old “Ocean Eyes” singer was clearly happy with her outfit for her first-ever appearance at the event; she told “Entertainment Tonight” that she was a fan of her skirt, in particular.
“I just like that it looks like shorts but it’s a skirt,” she said.
Eilish — whose “weather map” patterned hair went viral last fall — went with an equally bold style for the big night, showing off a red and black ‘do that was slicked back into a bun, with two pointy strands out in front.
The Grammy winner is nominated for “What Was I Made For,” her hit song from the “Barbie” soundtrack, making this the second time she’s been honored by the Golden Globes.
In 2022, Eilish won Best Original Song for “No Time to Die” from the James Bond film of the same name, although the awards were not televised that year.
“What Was I Made For” isn’t the only “Barbie” song to be recognized by the Golden Globes this year; Dua Lipa’s “Dance the Night” and “I’m Just Ken” by Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt are also up for the honor.
Sunday night’s glam look follows a new tattoo reveal during her last red carpet appearance, with the singer showing off the word “Hard” written on her abdomen in a swirly script font at the PvNew Hitmakers event last November.
She also flashed a star-shaped tooth gem in a fun selfie taken last month.
While this year’s Oscar nominations have yet to be announced, we have a feeling Eilish will be making another awards season appearance soon enough.
