Jennifer Lawrence kicked off awards season with a bang in a Dior dress as she hit the Golden Globes 2024 red carpet on Sunday, making her first appearance at the show in nearly a decade.
The “No Hard Feelings” actress, 33, looked glam in the minimalistic, black velvet design, which she accessorized with a metallic Dior clutch and pointed-toe pumps from Aquazzura.
Lawrence opted to wear her hair down for the night, letting her long blonde locks fall to one side as she posed for the cameras.
Still, it was the star’s Tiffany & Co. jewels that really stole the spotlight.
According to a press release from the brand, Lawrence paired her look with a platinum and 18k yellow gold necklace, which included a jaw-dropping 11-carat diamond pendant.
As for her earrings, the 18k yellow gold and platinum statement studs were also pretty elaborate, made with 6 total carats of “unenhanced” sapphires as well as diamonds.
Until Sunday, the “Hunger Games” star had not attended the Globes since 2016, when she wore a vibrant red Dior dress to snag a Best Actress award for “Joy.”
The two-time Golden Globes Best Actress winner is nominated for the honor yet again this year, with the “Hunger Games” actress up against Margot Robbie, Emma Stone, Natalie Portman, Fantasia Barrino and Alma Pöysti in the comedy or musical category for her performance in”No Hard Feelings.”
Although she hasn’t been a regular on the Golden Globes red carpet in some time, Lawrence still came in second place in a 2021 Google report of its top-searched Golden Globes dresses of all time.
The “Silver Linings Playbook” star’s 2014 Globes dress went especially viral, with the ribbon-trimmed white Christian Dior creation launching plenty of hilarious memes on social media.
While some compared her 2014 dress to the sack Ariel whips up into a dress in “The Little Mermaid,” the red ballgown she wore to the 2013 Golden Globes — another Christian Dior Couture piece — earned a most-searched nod for its sleek, old Hollywood glamour.
After Sunday’s stylish appearance, we’re crossing our fingers for more J.Law on the red carpet this year.
