Introducing Mrs. Turner.
Theresa Nist married the first “Golden Bachelor,” Gerry Turner, in a live televised wedding on ABC Thursday night, with the New Jersey grandmother looking ethereal in a Badgley Mischka gown during their nuptials in Palm Springs, Calif.
Nist, 70, walked down the rose-filled aisle in the off-the-shoulder mermaid dress as she was escorted by her son, Tommy, during the “Golden Wedding” special, which was filmed at the plush La Quinta Resort & Club.
The bride accented her stunning wedding-day look — which featured a plunging neckline, lace straps and a tulle train — with a crystal-studded veil.
She wore her hair down in soft curls, accessorizing with a dazzling diamond necklace accented with a pearl drop.
However, her wedding look didn’t go off without a hitch; one of the delicate straps on her gown broke during the ceremony.
Nist didn’t seem to notice as she recited her emotional vows to Turner, 72, who looked dapper in a classic black tuxedo.
Of course, the couple exchanged wedding rings from the franchise’s go-to jeweler, Neil Lane, with Turner meeting with the celeb jeweler to select the designs during a clip ahead of their wedding.
The new Mrs. Turner’s elegant wedding look follows the shimmering sequined ensemble she wore to celebrate the couple’s rehearsal dinner Wednesday night, which echoed the sequined gown she wore while her “Golden Bachelor” proposed during the November 30 finale.
The Turners were married by fellow “Golden Bachelor” contestant and Kris Jenner lookalike Susan Knowles, who also serves as a wedding officiant in her Pennsylvania hometown.
Plenty of other “Golden” friends came out to support Nist and Turner at the ceremony, with everyone from fan faves Kathy Swarts, Faith Martin and Joan Vassos to one of the Chippendales dancers that attended Nist’s bachelorette party joining in the wedding fun.
Runner-up Leslie Fhima, who called Turner out for her leading her on during their final days of taping, even attended the wedding,
Franchise alums including the first “Bachelorette,” Trista Sutter, and her husband, Ryan Sutter, former “Bachelor” Ben Higgins and “Bachelor in Paradise” bartender Wells Adams were also in attendance, among others.
There was even a shocking proposal before the ceremony when “Bachelor in Paradise” favorite Brayden Bowers popped the question to Christina Mandrell from Zach Shallcross’ season (with Gerry and Theresa’s blessing).
Congratulations to the golden couple!
