Kaitlyn Bristowe called out ex-fiancé Jason Tartick for playing the “victim” to “garner sympathy” after they split over the summer.
“It’s really disappointing to me the way that Jason is kind of leaning into the victim mentality,” she said on her “Off The Vine” podcast Thursday.
“I don’t want to dismiss that he’s hurting. I don’t want to dismiss that his feelings are valid.”
The Season 11 “Bachelorette” lead, 38, said that she and the banker, 35, have been amicable since they called off their engagement in August.
However, after rumors surfaced that Bristowe cheated on Tartick with Season 16 “Bachelorette” winner Zac Clark, things took a “confusing” turn in their relationship.
“The word disappointed keeps coming up. I feel so disappointed that someone could use a false narrative to garner sympathy for themselves,” she continued.
Bristowe explained that she thought she and Tartick were “in such a good place,” seeing as though she had invited him over to her home recently.
The former “Bachelor” star’s comments came days after she shut down “nasty” rumors that she cheated on her ex with Clark, 39.
“Hi! Here to say that there was never an ounce of cheating happening and I will not stand for this rumor. Y’all are NASTY in here,” she commented on a fan Instagram account Monday.

“Anywho. Swear on my dogs lives. No cheating went on. So we can just put that to rest. Thank you!! Happy new year everyone. Go donate some blood or something!”
Bristowe then addressed the rumors further on her Instagram Stories, writing that she is “hurt” by the “hate” she’s received on social media.
“You would think by now I’d be used to the hate. I’m not. Your words hurt. Your shaming hurts. Part of me feels a little sad and honestly embarrassed for you guys because this shouldn’t be how you spend day 1 of a new year,” she wrote.
The former spin instructor added that she wishes she could share her “truth.”
“It’s hard to bite my dang tongue sometimes. But you just go on and continue to have your own little made up story in your head and believe what you want to believe,” Bristowe wrote.
“Social media la la land. Good lawwwddd.”
Bristowe and Tartick shocked fans when they announced their split in a joint statement on Instagram after four years of dating.
They started dating in January 2019 and got engaged in May 2021.
Meanwhile, Clark was previously engaged to “Bachelorette” Season 16 lead Tayshia Adams. However, in November 2021, they announced their split.
Adams, 33, seemingly reacted to the cheating rumors on Instagram Thursday, posting a selfie of herself laying on the beach in Orange County, Calif., with the caption, “did someone say something?!??”
