Kim Kardashian underwent quite the makeover for her role in the newest season of “American Horror Story.”
The “Kardashians” star looked unrecognizable in the first teaser for Season 12 of the spooky series — which was dropped Thursday.
In the 40-second clip, the 42-year-old can be seen wearing a long white wig while rocking a black dress and cradling a baby as an eerie rendition of “Rock-A-Bye Baby” plays in the background.
The reality TV star’s typically tan skin was seemingly painted white, a stark contrast to her bold red lipstick and dramatic false eyelashes.
Her co-stars Emma Roberts and Cara Delevingne were clad in similar looks as faceless figures — wearing the same white wig — creepily danced in circles.
The anthology’s new installment, titled “Delicate,” is based on Danielle Valentine’s novel “Delicate Condition,” which follows a woman who believes someone is trying to stop her from having a child.
Although the trailer excited many fans, news of Kardashian’s involvement in the series drew mixed reactions earlier this year.
While co-creator Ryan Murphy described the Skims founder as one of “the biggest and brightest television stars in the world,” other actors were less than impressed by his decision to give the role to a non-actor — including Patti LuPone.
The legendary Broadway star didn’t mince words when asked about Kardashian’s casting on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” in April.
LuPone, who starred in “AHS” herself, revealed that she didn’t like the casting choice because she was taking the role away from “other actors” who were more deserving.
“Excuse me, excuse me, Kim. You know, what are you doing with your life? Don’t get on the stage, Mrs. Worthington,” LuPone said, referencing the English playwright and composer Noël Coward’s 1935 song “Mrs. Worthington” about overly zealous momagers.
Yet Kardashian seemingly got the message loud and clear and eventually started taking acting lessons to prepare for the role.
While speaking to PvNew at the 2023 Met Gala, Kardashian clarified that she was “of course” getting help from professionals and was really enjoying the “challenge.”
“It’s really fun to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new and grow,” she said. “I’m so excited for the experience.”
And it appears those lessons paid off. “AHS” veteran Zachary Quinto told People last month that he was “really impressed by her spirit and her openness” on set.
“She was so lovely and warm and, really, I don’t think she needs my advice,” the actor said, noting that Kardashian seemed “really in her element.”
“I really look forward to seeing this season because I think she’s gonna do a wonderful job,” the “Star Trek” star added.
Although the mother of four was a delight to have around, she got into hot water — once again — for tweeting on set amid the ongoing writers strike last month.
After the reality TV star asked her followers “what [they were] all up to” during her “time between shots,” numerous writers replied that they were “striking in support of [their] union” and “reading about the WGA strike.”
