These businesses won’t be going south.
North West has big plans to follow in Kim Kardashian’s and Kanye West’s footsteps in the fashion biz, revealing her career aspirations in a new interview with i-D magazine.
North, 10, covers the fashion glossy wearing her own clothing and accessories, and teased what fans can expect from the next generation of Kar-Jenner businesswomen.
“One day I want to own Yeezy and Skims, and I want to be a business owner,” she declared when asked what she wants to be when she grows up.
It’s fitting that North would want to helm her parents’ billion-dollar companies, as she’s modeled in multiple Skims campaigns and is often seen sporting her dad’s Yeezy sneaker and sweatsuit designs.
Last year, she even performed at his Paris Fashion Week show.
Elsewhere in her cover story, North discussed her most prized fashion possession — the vintage velvet jacket previously owned by Michael Jackson that her mother gave her for Christmas in 2019 — and staked a claim to everything in her parents’ closets.
And while she’s sat front row at many a designer’s runway presentation, North said her younger sister, Chicago, actually puts on a better fashion show “in her closet.”
But the eldest of West and Kardashian’s four children isn’t necessarily looking to the older generation for style advice.
When asked to name her style icon, North responded, “me.”
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
