Mod Sun is living his best single life five months after his split from Avril Lavigne.
The “Karma” musician was seen locking lips with model Sahara Ray in a photo that has since been deleted from her Instagram Story — but not before Pvnew was able to grab a screenshot.
Despite the PDA snap, a source exclusively tells us that the kiss was just a kiss.
“Mod is enjoying being single for the first time in years and having fun,” an insider reveals.
“He’s not in a relationship with anyone.”
Reps did not immediately respond to Pvnew’s request for comment.
It seems the two have been spending some time together of late. Ray also posted a video over the weekend of herself sunbathing on Mod Sun’s back patio while he painted.
The pair also enjoyed a group dinner with friends where the onlyFans model captured video of a smiling Mod Sun, 36, sitting next to her at the table.
And in separate photos exclusively obtained by Pvnew, the two were spotted out and about in West Hollywood on Saturday night.
Mod Sun was seen driving Sahara, the daughter of Australian surf legend Tony Ray, and another pal down the Sunset Strip.
She shot a grin to the paparazzi as the group rode in the “Flames” singer’s vehicle.
Sahara was previously linked to Justin Bieber in 2016 after the two were spotted skinny dipping in Hawaii.
This is the first time Mod Sun has sparked romance rumors since his engagement to Lavinge, 38, was called off in February.
At the time, his rep told Pvnew that the breakup came as a complete surprise to him.
“They were together and engaged as of three days ago when he left for tour, so if anything has changed, that’s news to him,” his rep said at the time.
The exes dated for more than a year before Mod Sun proposed in Paris in March 2022.
As Pvnew previously reported, Lavigne was linked to Tyga not long after the split.
In June, the “Sk8er Boi” hitmaker and the “Rack City” rapper reportedly called it quits.
However, their breakup appears to be amicable as the two have been spotted out together following the news.
While Mod Sun, whose real name is Derek Ryan Smith, appears to embracing his single era, the artist recently released a heartbreak anthem that seems to be about his past romance with Lavigne.
The upbeat pop song, which was released Friday, allegedly gives insight into the high-profile relationship and its eventual demise.
“Just a couple weeks and I’m already moving in / Lying to each other while we’re lying in your bed,” he sings. “Guess it really did go up in flames in the end.”
