Mom has got her daughter’s back.
Candy Spelling plans to be there for Tori Spelling amid her divorce from Dean McDermott despite the mother-daughter duo’s own rocky relationship in the past.
“I love my daughter and I support her in whatever she does,” the 77-year-old told TMZ Saturday when asked about the split during a day out in Los Angeles.
Candy then reiterated, “I support my daughter.”
When asked if she would bail out Tori, 50, “financially,” the mother of two added, “Of course. I will always be there for her.”
The “Stories From Candyland” author and “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum often went long periods of time without talking to each other.
However, they were pictured together for the first time in five years in September 2022.
A month later, Tori said she and her mother finally had “a good relationship,” adding, “It’s like next level right now.”
She also credited “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles” star Josh Flagg at the time for helping them reconcile.
Coincidentally, the Bravo star was with Candy when she was asked about her daughter’s divorce and he also gave his two cents to TMZ on the matter.
“I think this is a great idea,” Flagg, 37, told the outlet of Tori and Dean’s breakup, adding that he “really hopes” the separated couple has called it quits for good.
“Tori deserves a really good life and I think she’s a fabulous girl,” the realtor concluded.
On June 17, McDermott, 56, announced on social media that he and Tori were divorcing after 17 years of marriage and five children together.
“It’s with great sadness and a very very heavy heart that after 18 years together and 5 amazing children, that @torispelling and I have decided to go our separate ways, and start a new journey of our own,” the Canadian actor wrote on Instagram at the time.
“We will continue to work together as loving parents and guide and love our children through this difficult time.”
He then concluded, “We ask that you all respect our privacy as we take this time to surround our family with love and work our way through this. Thank you all for your support and kindness.
