Gayle King took reporting matters into her own hands when she asked a hilarious question on “Watch What Happens Live” Monday night.
The TV icon, 68, was joined by CNN journalist Anderson Cooper as they played a quick-fire interview game with host Andy Cohen.
The raunchy questions ranged from whether Cooper, 56, would make a sex tape to if he likes baby talk with a romantic partner.
When asked whether he would ever bring “a third into the bedroom,” Cooper said that wasn’t his style.
“Oh really?” the Bravo producer, 55, teased his pal, expressing some skepticism about his response.
“I forgot we’re on TV,” Cohen added.
King then chimed in, “Andy, can I ask why you know that Anderson is open to threesomes in the bedroom?” which resulted in the famed “60 Minutes” correspondent spitting out his soda all over the carpet.
“You OK, dear?” King asked Cooper.
“Clean up on aisle three,” the “CBS Mornings” host quipped.
Cohen was quiet, eventually telling his guests, “The control room is freaking out in my ear because they know I’m silently freaking out.”
He then answered King, telling her coyly, “Just because … mother’s intuition.”
One fan commented on the interview clip, “Andy was MOR TI FIED. That was incredible. Anderson just suffers through the torment, they are such a hilarious duo.”
“It is so rare to see a genuine spit take, but when it’s there….HILARIOUS!” a second person chimed in.
A third viewer added, “This was absolute television GOLD!!!”
Just a few months ago, Cohen said that he and Cooper — who have been friends for several years — could “have some good threesomes.”
He laughed about the idea of a ménage à trois when he appeared on an episode of “Sherri” with Sherri Shepherd in May, but was quick to point out that they’re still merely just pals.
“[A threesome] is what it would take, because we are truly just friends. We really are,” Cohen said at the time, before joking that he could be looking for a “throuple situation.”
The Bravo host — who has helmed the “New Years Eve Live” broadcast with Cooper since 2017 — spoke very affectionately about the broadcast journalist.
He told Shepherd that he loves Cooper “to death” after getting “so much closer” over the years.
“[We] have so much fun together … I love making [Cooper] giggle,” he added.
The pair were originally set up on a blind date in the early ’90s but they never felt a romantic spark.
Cohen is now a single father to his two children: Lucy, 1, and Benjamin, 4.
Cooper, for his part, co-parents his two kids, Wyatt, 3, and Sebastian, 1, with Benjamin Maisani.
