“Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” star Alan Ruck is being sued by one of the drivers he allegedly collided with before slamming into a pizza shop on Halloween.

According to a lawsuit obtained by Pvnew Thursday, Horacio Vela claims he was “patiently waiting” at a red light at around 9 p.m. when the actor’s car, which was “directly behind” him, “unexpectedly” rammed into the back of his Hyundai Elantra.

Despite the light allegedly still being red, Vela claims Ruck “abruptly and forcefully accelerated his vehicle,” pushing his car into oncoming traffic where “it collided with another vehicle.”

He says Ruck’s car then continued at “a high rate of speed,” hitting yet another vehicle before crashing into the side of Raffallo’s Pizza shop on Hollywood Boulevard.

Vela claims he had to be taken to the hospital after the crash and sustained “severe injuries and damages.”

Vela also alleges that his car was totaled and he was left with “property damage, costs of past and future medical care, pain and suffering, mental anguish, emotional distress, and other consequential damages.”

In a statement obtained by Pvnew, Vela’s attorney claims the “Succession” star’s insurance “has refused to accept responsibility for the crash” and “ghosted” them “despite repeated calls and letters seeking to work out an amicable settlement.”

“Ruck says he doesn’t know what happened, and police say it was a vehicle issue while Rivian, the manufacturer, says the truck was working properly,” Neama Rahmani shared. “In this case, multiple people were hit, and a business was damaged. We believe Ruck is responsible for the damages…”

Since Ruck’s insurance is allegedly refusing to cooperate, Rahmani says Vela was forced to “file a lawsuit to subpoena evidence and witnesses to prove [his] case.”

Reps for Ruck did not immediately respond to Pvnew’s request for comment.

Footage from the incident obtained by TMZ show the 67-year-old actor plowing his truck into the side of the pizza shop, hitting two cars in the process.

At the time, a 25-year-old man and a 40-year-old female who were involved in the accident reported pain but no serious injuries were recorded.

Los Angeles Police also confirmed that Ruck was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol when the crash occurred.

Witnesses also told KTLA that Ruck immediately got out of his vehicle, which was lodged into the side of the pizzeria, after the crash and went to make sure everyone else was okay.

“I asked him, ‘Are you OK?’ And the first thing out of his mouth was, ‘Is everyone (else) OK? I think I hit someone. Is he OK?’” the businessman claimed.

A few days later, the actor told TMZ that he was doing “fine” and just grateful that “nobody was killed.”

Ruck got his big break in Hollywood when he was cast opposite Matthew Broderick in 1986’s “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.”

He has since acted in over 100 projects.
