Jonathan Majors’ ex broke down in tears as she testified that she was “scared” of the actor, as he would allegedly fly into a “violent” rage during their relationship.
Grace Jabbari told the jury Tuesday that she and the “Creed III” star — who was accompanied to court by his girlfriend, actress Meagan Good — began dating in August 2021 after meeting on the set of Marvel’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.”
At the time, Jabbari worked as a movement director for the film and she claimed that Majors secretly gave her his phone number through his hairstylist.
The “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” actress, 30, testified that their relationship was great in the beginning.
However, she alleged that she first became “scared” of Majors, 34, in December 2021, when she brought up the fact that her ex-boyfriend had a dog.
She claimed that the “Loki” star allegedly berated her for bringing up the ex’s pet, saying that it was “embarrassing” that she had dated him.
“It was the first time I felt scared of him,” Jabbari claimed to jurors. “I knew to never mention my ex again or anyone I had dated before.”
In another incident, which allegedly took place in England in September 2022, Jabbari testified that she went out to a bar with a female friend and later invited her back to the home she shared with Majors.
The “Lovecraft Country” actor allegedly became irate with Jabbari and confronted her, allegedly stepping on her earphones and saying that she was “stupid if she didn’t know what she had done.”
He allegedly told the dancer to leave their house before he “ran up” to their bedroom and began breaking objects.
After Jabbari later returned to the home, she said Majors was apologetic and wanted to start over.
“I promised him I would never tell anyone what went on,” she claimed to the jury.
After the former couple would get into fights, Jabbari claimed that Majors would refer to himself as a “monster” and threaten to commit suicide.
“I pleaded with him [so that] he wouldn’t do that,” she alleged. “He would say, ‘It’s in place. It’s in motion.’ I’d say, ‘You can’t do that. What about your mother? What about your daughter?’
“I would intend to make him feel safe and loved and secure. And he would receive that.”
An audio of an alleged altercation Jabbari and Majors had that month was also played. In it, Majors allegedly demanded she behave like former First Lady Michelle Obama or civil rights leader Coretta Scott King.
“I’m a great man. A great man. I do great things for my culture and for the world,” Majors allegedly said in the recording, per PvNew. “The woman that supports me needs to be a great woman.”
Majors was arrested on March 25 after he and Jabbari got into a domestic dispute while taking a taxi home from a bar in Brooklyn.
The “Harder They Fall” star currently faces three charges of misdemeanor assault, aggravated harassment and harassment.
Majors pleaded not guilty and has maintained his innocence throughout this case. His attorney, Priya Chaudhry, claimed Jabbari was the aggressor in the cab, dubbing her a scorned and “psycho” girlfriend who was jealous that the actor was texting another woman.
In October, Jabbari was charged with assault and criminal mischief for the March incident, but prosecutors are expected to dismiss the charges against her.
Majors’ trial, which began on Nov. 25, is expected to last two weeks. If convicted, he faces up to a year in prison.
