Candace Cameron Bure and her husband, Valeri Bure, celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary on Thursday – but she admitted she totally blanked on getting him a gift.
“My sweet husband – flowers, and a gift, and balloons, happy anniversary to us,” Cameron Bure said in an Instagram Story while panning a light pink rose and hydrangea flower arrangement and two gifts in matching navy wrapping paper.
But shortly after posting the video, the “Full House” alum shared the “truth” behind their special day.
“So here’s the truth – my husband is so sweet, and he always remembers everything on our anniversary, and I tend to forget, and I forgot this year,” she added in another Instagram Story.
Cameron Bure, 47, emphasized that she “didn’t forget it was our anniversary today,” but June is a packed month with Father’s Day, her husband’s birthday, her mom’s birthday and several of her close friend’s birthdays all within a few weeks.
“It’s like my biggest birthday month, and then it’s also our anniversary, but between my husband’s birthday and Father’s Day, I gave him a lot of gifts, and then I totally forgot about our anniversary.”
“I told him this morning and he said, ‘Baby you’re always my gift,” she said while putting her hand over her heart.
The Great American Christmas movie savant advised her 5.6 million followers to always have “love, truth, honesty and grace” in your relationship, and that’s how she’s been “married for 27 years.”
Cameron Bure then went to “beautify” herself and changed into a blue mini dress to properly “celebrate the two of us tonight.”
In addition to the two gifts and bouquet of flowers, Val, 49, also surprised his wife with a set of white and gold balloons with a big “27” at the very top.
