The royal family has a new member!
Princess Eugenie gave birth on May 30 to her and her husband Jack Brooksbank’s second baby.
“Jack and I wanted to share the news that we had our little boy, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank … at 8.49 weighing 7.1lbs,” she gushed via Instagram Monday.
“He is named after his great great great Grandfather George, his Grandpa George and my Grandpa Ronald,” Eugenie continued.
The 33-year-old has been married to Brooksbank, 37, since October 2018. Two years later, news broke that the couple were starting a family.
The princess’ mom, Sarah Ferguson, gushed about how “excited” she was to become a grandmother after the September 2020 announcement.
“I am so excited by the news that Eugenie and Jack are expecting their first child,” the Duchess of York, 63, tweeted at the time. “Thrilled for them both.”
She concluded, “Welcoming a new baby into the York family is going to be a moment of profound joy.”
Baby boy August arrived in February of the following year.
Eugenie’s sister, Princess Beatrice, became a mom in September 2021 when her and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s daughter, Sienna, was born.
The proud aunt congratulated her sibling on her “new angel” in an Instagram tribute at the time.
“I can’t wait to meet her and I’m so proud of you,” Eugenie gushed. “We’re going to have so much fun watching our children grow up.”
By January of the following year, she and Brooksbank were expecting another baby of their own.
Eugenie debuted her baby bump in a sweet snap showing August kissing her stomach.
“We’re so excited to share that there will be a new addition to our family this summer,” she told her Instagram followers.
Ferguson wrote that she was in “Granny heaven,” while Mapelli Mozzi commented with heart emojis.
