These boots were made for workouts.
Britney Spears shared a new Instagram video yesterday as she hit her home gym with husband Sam Asghari, and instead of leggings and sneakers, she chose a rather unusual fitness combo of a lacy dress and high boots.
“Heels [high heel emoji] on the treadmill …” she captioned her video, adding three eye-roll emojis.
The “Womanizer” singer, 41, says she’s “never been to the gym in high heels,” as she films herself in a full-length mirror while wearing a pink satin mini dress trimmed with black lace.
She paired the lingerie-like slip dress with slouchy tan leather boots, explaining that she “decided to wear high heels” after seeing “a girl on Instagram one time” who “wore a formal dress on the treadmill with high heels.”
Spears — who wore her hair in a Pamela Anderson-style updo — continued that her decision to wear a dress and heels for her workout came down to control.
“Considering I’ve always had a trainer tell me what to do in the gym, I decided — and that’s my crazy husband — I decided to wear a dress to the gym to see what it feels like, and I really like it.”
Her “crazy husband” Asghari, 29, and two of the couples’ dogs pop up in the background of the video as Spears chats away, with the model and fitness trainer flexing his biceps while wearing a baseball cap, Nike sneakers, black trousers and a sleeveless hoodie.
The “Lucky” singer wore another pair of slouchy boots yesterday in a video she posted of herself dancing in a coral crop top and a floral-print bikini bottom.
In the Instagram clip, she folds the bottoms down to show off the tattoos along her bikini line, spinning around and smacking her booty as she grooves to the music.
On Saturday, she shared a throwback photo of herself holding her youngest son, Jayden, posting the Instagram pic amid the news that her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, is planning to move to Hawaii with the couple’s two children.
While she stopped short of sharing herself actually working out in the outfit, we have a feeling Britney might be rocking more fun activewear soon enough.
