Scheana Shay has contacted Tom Sandoval since ending their friendship over his affair with Raquel Leviss.
“I did [reach out],” the “Good as Gold” singer admitted on her “Scheananigans” podcast Friday, clarifying that she sent texts after her embattled “Vanderpump Rules” co-star’s close friend Ali Rafiq died earlier this month.
“He didn’t respond to me,” she said. “The second one didn’t even deliver. I think … he turned his phone off, but this was a few days ago, and it still never delivered.”
Shay went on to share that she “kept in touch with [Sandoval’s pal] Kyle Chan, just checking in because [she does not] want anyone to harm themselves.”
Her podcast guest and former “Pump Rules” castmate Jax Taylor agreed that “we’re getting to the point where somebody can hurt themselves.”
Taylor, 43, explained, “I’ve gone through a lot of hell on that show, [but] nothing like this. And now you’re putting his best friend[‘s death] on top of that and the fact that his family is not all on board with him. … I’d be in a dark hole.”
When Shay called the fallout of the scandal “too much” and “on another level,” Taylor’s wife, Brittany Cartwright, agreed, saying, “It went worldwide.”
Taylor and Cartwright, 34, both expressed surprise at Sandoval, 40, not replying to Shay’s “olive branch” messages.
“You would think he would because there is nobody in his corner right now,” the former SUR bartender, who exited the show in 2020, said. “[In his mind], maybe this would be a way back in.”
After making it clear that the texts she sent were “not” a way back into her good graces, Shay said Sandoval has not responded to anyone else “who has reached out” to him, though she would not name the other individuals.
“He could just be having his phone off right now,” she acknowledged. “I don’t even know the place that he’s in.
“I just know that I don’t feel like a human if I don’t send my condolences and well-wishes.”

Sandoval made headlines in March for his months-long affair with Leviss, 28, while in a nine-year relationship with Ariana Madix, who promptly dumped him.
As the drama continues to air on Season 10 of “Vanderpump Rules,” as well as the series’ three-part reunion, Leviss has been at a mental health facility.
Sandoval, for his part, is currently touring with his cover band.
Andy Cohen recently defended the bar owner, telling “Not Skinny But Not Fat” listeners that fan hatred is “out of control.”
The producer said, “He’s a real person. He did something really stupid and hurtful and asinine … [but] he didn’t kill anyone, he didn’t commit a crime.”
Lisa Vanderpump similarly stood up for Sandoval during part one of the reunion last week, going on to tell E! News that she “can’t write him off as a person.”
Part two of the “Vanderpump Rules” reunion airs Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
