Anwar Hadid shared an alarming message Sunday after his ex-girlfriend Dua Lipa went public with her relationship with Romain Gavras.
“Trying to not to find and kill him,” Hadid captioned a selfie on his Instagram Story.
The aspiring musician — whose sisters are models Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid — added a smiley face beneath the cryptic text.
Anwar shared the same photo on his Instagram feed without its troubling original caption and instead promoted his new song, “The Skrugh.”
The performer also posted a mirror selfie captioned, “I cant [sic] breath [sic]” followed by two close-up photos of the ground with the captions “Have fun” and “I hate the way you say my name.”
Anwar has not elaborated on the meaning behind his cryptic posts nor has Lipa responded to them.
The two dated from 2019 to 2021.
The “Levitating” singer, 27, made her red carpet debut with Gavras, 41, on Friday while attending the Cannes Film Festival.
Lipa first sparked romance rumors with the French director, who previously dated Rita Ora, in February after they were spotted leaving a party together in London.
A few weeks later, they held hands at a Paris Fashion Week event.
“Dua and Romain have been quietly getting to know each other for several months,” a source told the Sun at the time.
Prior to Gavras, the Grammy winner fueled romance rumors with Trevor Noah after they were photographed hanging out in New York City several times last year.
While a source told Pvnew at the time that Lipa and the former “Daily Show” host, 39, seemed “smitten” on one particular date, another denied they were a couple.
Pvnew heard the “Cold Heart” songstress also had a brief fling with rapper Jack Harlow last December after he literally sang her praises in his song “Dua Lipa.”
Meanwhile, Anwar still appears to be single.
Prior to Lipa, he romanced Nicola Peltz.
