Fans are “Hot N Cold” over this bold outfit.
Katy Perry has had a headlines-making “American Idol” season – and she ended it with fireworks when she showed off a sheer look at the finale that divided fans.
On Sunday night, the “Dark Horse” singer wore a Giuseppe Di Morabito orange set, with a sheer crop top with cut-outs and roses ($1,243) and the matching crystal-embellished mesh maxi skirt ($701).
The sherbet set she donned for the live show proved controversial on social media.
“Is she at a swim meet?” one “American Idol” viewer asked on Twitter.
“That dress is not flattering on Katy Perry!” another viewer tweeted. “I’m not sure who picked that red outfit for you tonight, but it’s not flattering at all!” one “Idol” fan tweeted in agreement.
Perry quipped on Instagram, “orange u glad it was a great #idolfinale?”
Her husband Orlando Bloom weighed in with his support, as he dropped an orange emoji and a fire emoji.
Other fans also adored the barely there ensemble, with makeup guru James Charles calling the 38-year-old pop star “Beautiful.”
“Serve after server. They just keep coming,” one follower raved.
Another asked, “orange you glad it’s over?” as Perry has had a contentious run as an Idol judge.
Perry temporarily left the reality singing show after she faced backlash over some of her comments about contestants. Ed Sheeran and Alanis Morissette filled in while she was in England performing at King Charles III’s coronation with co-judge Lionel Richie on May 6.
The “Hot n Cold” songstress had a glamorous time abroad – she performed at Windsor Castle for King Charles III’s coronation concert in a custom metallic Vivienne Westwood gown and wowed in a lavender suit by the same designer during the daytime festivities.
