Jon Gosselin claimed his twin daughters, Mady and Cara, have been ignoring his text messages for nine years.
The “Jon & Kate Plus 8” alum told the US Sun Thursday that he has not spoken to his eldest children in nine years following a bitter custody battle with his ex-wife, Kate Gosselin.
“The last time I spoke to Mady and Cara was 2014,” he said of the now-22-year-olds.
“I periodically text Mady and Cara to see if I get a response, and at this point, I’ve never heard from them,” he continued.
“Sadly I am not attending Mady and Cara’s college graduations.”
Jon, 46, and Kate, 48, are also the parents of 19-year-old sextuplets Aaden, Collin, Joel, Hannah, Alexis and Leah.
The former couple were married from 1999 to 2009; however, their custody fight did not end until all of their children turned 18 in 2022.
Hannah and Collin live with their father, while the rest of their siblings reside with their mother.
Mady and Cara have not publicly spoken about their dad since a 2016 People interview.
“He makes it seem like we’re being kept from him, which is insane,” Mady, who was 15 at the time, told the magazine.
“He should maybe spend some time thinking about why we don’t want to see him, and maybe realize that if he ever does want a relationship with us, talking about us on TV is not the way to make that happen,” she continued. “He doesn’t even know us. And the last thing I have time for is a toxic relationship.”
Cara chimed in, “I wouldn’t even know what to say about him.”
Earlier this week, Jon confirmed he has not spoken to Aaden, Collin, Alexis and Leah since 2018.
“I am attending Hannah and Collin’s graduation. We will have a graduation party for Hannah and Collin sometime in the near future after their actual graduation date,” he told the US Sun.
“Sadly I won’t be attending the other kids’ high school graduation. The last time I spoke to [them] was in 2018.”
He went on, “I will never give up trying to talk to my children. I’m hoping with social media that maybe they might reach out to me at some point.
“The door is always open to rekindle any kind of relationship. I’ve tried for years for any interaction with any of my other kids, but nothing yet.”
Collin also has said he was open to the idea of reconciliation.
After not speaking to his siblings for “five or six years,” he told “Entertainment Tonight” in November 2022 that he would like to catch “up on the time that [they] lost.”
Collin called his estrangement from his mom “unfortunate” but assured fans that he was “doing very well” without the “Kate Plus Date” star in his life.
