Brian Austin Green slammed “Dancing With the Stars” after his fiancée, Sharna Burgess, wasn’t invited to join Tuesday’s emotional tribute to Len Goodman.
The “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum took to Instagram Wednesday to defend Burgess who was excluded from the waltz, which reunited many of the show’s dance pros from the past.
“I can’t begin to tell you how disappointed I was for @sharnaburgess to not be invited for the tribute last night,” he wrote.
“It’s disappointing as well that none of her ‘family in the ballroom’ stuck up for her and spoke out.
“She’s an incredible soul and has always been a friend to everyone,” Green continued. “She deserved better. #familystickstogether.”
The actor, 50, mentioned that former “DWTS” pro Cheryl Burke was also left out of the performance.
“[Burgess] wasn’t even invited to sit in the stands and watch,” he added in his caption. “Shame on that group of people. Kindness is an action, and so is love ❤️ @cherylburke should have been there as well.”
The Australian ballroom dancer, 38, also addressed the matter on her Instagram Story Wednesday, saying that she was “super upset.”
“My man has seen me be super upset (again) about the show I love,” Burgess wrote. “Last night was hard and he listened to me while I shared my heart. I haven’t made a single comment publicly about the tribute because of a few reasons.
“Firstly… I know it’s not about me. It’s about Len and the honor he deserved. Secondly, this hurt more than not being asked back and I’m working through it.
“Thirdly, sharing feelings on here often gets met with a few negative people who believe I didn’t deserve to be there anyway. So why open myself up to it?”
Burgess went on to praise her fiancé for sticking by her side and defending her when “he didn’t need to.”
Despite not being included in the waltz, Burgess applauded the tribute which included Mark Ballas, Kym Johnson-Herjavec, Tony Dovolani, Karina Smirnoff and Anna Trebunskaya.
Several Season 32 dancers, along with judge Derek Hough and co-host Julianne Hough, also joined the special routine.
“The tribute was stunning and I cried watching,” Burgess continued. “Tears of celebration and joy and gratitude for how much Len did for the ballroom and for all of our careers.”
She concluded, “Remember 2 things can be true. I can love and support the show, feel joy for those who were there and also feel sad about me not being there.”
Goodman died in April at the age of 78 after prostate cancer spread to his bones.
Months before, the dancing legend had announced his retirement from “DWTS” after 17 years as a judge.
“I’ve decided I want to spend more time with my children and family,” he said in November 2022. “I cannot thank you enough, my ‘Dancing With the Stars’ family. It’s been such a wonderful experience for me.”
