Kyle Richards is setting the record straight on the romance rumors that have surrounded her and Morgan Wade for months.
When Andy Cohen asked about their status on “Watch What Happens Live” Wednesday, the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star insisted the country singer is simply “one of [her] best, best friends in the world.”
Richards, 54, added that the same could be said about her fellow guest, Teddi Mellencamp.
“We’re all very close,” the actress said. “I met [Wade] through Instagram. When we met [in person] the first time, [Mellencamp and I] went together. And then we started a group chat.”
Richards recalled becoming “very, very close” to Wade since they all “would speak every morning” as “the first text of the day” due to their “ridiculous” 4 a.m. workout routines.
The Bravolebrity went on to brush off speculation that she and the singer, 28, are more than friends.
“When I see these things [online], I’m like, if she didn’t have all those tattoos, people would not say that,” she argued. “I’m with my friends all the time. They don’t pay attention [to that].
“Although they did say that about us, too,” she noted, pointing to Mellencamp. “We were accused of this as well.”
Speculation about Richards and Wade began in July after the reality star and her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, confirmed their separation, with fans pointing out the pals’ matching tattoos and rings.

Richards and Wade “troll[ed] the trolls a little bit” by co-starring in their steamy “Fall in Love With Me” music video in August.
In the footage, the duo fed each other fruit, shared a hot tub and nearly kissed.
Wade, however, denied that their bond is anything more than platonic while promoting the video in a People interview at the time.
“The internet’s a dumb place,” the songwriter said, calling Richards a “good person” with whom she has a “great friendship.”
Similarly, Richards told a paparazzo over the summer that they are “very good friends.”
Meanwhile, the pair were spotted looking cozy during a “very intimate” outing in Paris in September, followed by a Buellton, Calif., stroll in coordinating outfits earlier this month.
As for Umansky, the real estate agent, 53, was photographed holding hands with his “Dancing With the Stars” partner, Emma Slater, over the weekend. An eyewitness told Pvnew that they kissed as well.
Richards addressed the PDA pictures on Wednesday, admitting they “hurt [her] feelings” and she does believe there is “something going on” with Umansky and Slater, 34, but doesn’t “know if anything has happened yet.”
