Chase Chrisley: Todd, Julie’s prison isn’t ‘country club,’ has ‘black mold’

Chase Chrisley is shutting down speculation that his parents, Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley, are locked up in luxurious prisons.

“Their conditions are so s—tty, too, like everybody acts like my dad’s in some country club, and that’s not the case at all,” Chase said on the “Chasin’ Birdies” podcast Thursday.

“I mean, they got black mold, and my mom’s place is even worse — she doesn’t even have air conditioning.”

Julie, 50, is currently serving a seven-year sentence at the Federal Medical Center Lexington in Kentucky, and Todd, 54, is in the midst of his 12-year stay at Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola, Fla.

“We never miss a weekend, we rotate,” Chase, 26, shared, referring to himself and his younger sister, Savannah Chrisley. “Savannah will go see my dad, I’ll go see my mom, we’ll rotate.”

Chase added that Savannah, 25, normally takes their brother, Grayson, 16, and niece Chloe, 10, to see their parents since she has custody of them.

“It’s tough, man,” Chase continued. “Our family loves really really hard, so when you love somebody as much as we love each other, it’s definitely very difficult, very difficult to see your loved ones in a situation like that.”

Chase explained that when they do visit their parents, it is “just in a big room with everybody.”

He clarified that he and his siblings are not allowed to bring anything to their parents during visiting hours, but they are able to hug Todd and Julie, “which is a huge blessing in itself.”

The “Chrisley Knows Best” couple were found guilty of tax evasion and bank fraud charges in June 2022 and reported to their respective prisons in January.

“It just feel like your soul, your heart gets ripped right out of you,” Chase said. “I mean, it’s heartbreaking. It really is.”

Chase’s admission came shortly after Savannah admitted their mom is “scared” and having a “harder” time behind bars than her dad.

The family is in the process of appealing the court’s ruling.
