Travis Kelce was shaking in his cleats when he saw his dad talking to Taylor Swift.
The NFL player, 34, joked about Ed Kelce’s “terrifying conversation” with the pop star, 33, at the Kansas City Chiefs game last week, noting he felt “terrible” for his rumored new girlfriend.
“You know Dad like I know Dad,” Travis mused to his brother, Jason Kelce, in Wednesday’s episode of their “New Heights” podcast.
“He shouldn’t be talking to Taylor Swift,” Jason, 35, said, to which Travis, 34, agreed.
“This is a terrifying conversation. I felt terrible for Taylor for being [subjected to that],” the tight end said.
And though the siblings laughed about it, they also gave their dad a heartwarming shout-out.
“We can’t keep kicking Dad just because we enjoy doing it, man, and our dad is the best f–king dad in the world,” Travis said.
“He is a great converser. It’s where Jason gets his storytelling and all of his charisma. We’re saying this just because we like to rag on the big guy.”
The brothers noted that they were happy to see their dad have his moment in the spotlight alongside their mother, Donna Kelce.
“You can see in this picture all he’s doing is just pumping her up,” Travis joked of Ed and Swift.
“He’s started listening to her music a little more.”
The Philadelphia Eagles center then added, “Bless his heart. He said, ‘Now I’ve taken all of your CDs out at the local library, and I’ve burned them onto my computer.’ Because that is legal as a taxpaying citizen.”
Swift’s conversation with the patriarch of the Kelce family took place on Oct. 12 when she attended the Chiefs’ game against the Denver Broncos.

A few days later, she and Travis hard-launched their romance in New York City when they stepped out holding hands and made their way to “Saturday Night Live.”
The two made brief — albeit separate — cameos on the iconic sketch show before heading to an afterparty, where they were seen kissing and getting “handsy” into the early hours of the morning.
They followed that up with their second date night in a row, packing on the PDA at New York City’s Waverly Inn on Sunday.
While Swift has remained mum about her new beau, Travis got candid about their romance during an Oct. 6 press conference.
“As all the attention comes, it feels like I was on top of the world after the Super Bowl — and right now, even more on top of the world,” he said at the time.
“You’ve got a lot of people that care about Taylor, and for good reason.”
