From sipping “go-go-juice” to glowing at prom, this pageant queen is all grown up.
Mama June spoke with Pvnew exclusively about daughter Honey Boo Boo’s “over-the-top” look for her big night out.
Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, who found fame on the TLC reality show “Toddlers & Tiaras,” attended her prom in April wearing a hot pink mermaid gown completely covered in sequins and sparkling stones.
As if that wasn’t enough glitz and glam, the “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” alum, 17, accessorized with dangling rhinestone drop earrings and a matching necklace, and even added crystals to her hot pink eye makeup and extra-long acrylic nails.
“Yes, she was over-the-top for her prom and was unique,” Mama June (real name: June Shannon), 43, tells us, describing her daughter as “divalicious.”
Alana, who’s graduating next month, wanted something special for the big high school dance — and it wasn’t just her dress that was outrageous.
Alana and boyfriend Dralin Carswell, 21, arrived at the venue in a white horse-drawn carriage with pink flowers to match her gown.
“She wanted to be different and everybody can go rent, you know, a Lamborghini or whatever … that’s what everybody does. If you want to be different and you want to be that diva that you are, get a horse and carriage,” Mama June’s husband, Justin Stroud, tells us.

The couple started dating in the middle of 2021 and went Instagram-official that September. Alana has defended their four-year age gap against critics of the relationship.
The duo even sparked engagement rumors in June when Thompson showed off a diamond ring on that finger, which she also wore for her prom pictures.
However, her rep told Pvnew at the time that the sparkler is “just a ring.”
