Pete Davidson hit the red carpet at the 2023 Met Gala Monday wearing a Fendi Men’s ensemble consisting of a bucket hat, gloves and colorful graphic T-shirt – all in one.
The comedian wore dark purple leather pants, a black and white T-Shirt with blue and purple designs on it, a long black trench coat and black dress shoes.
Davidson accessorized his look with black gloves, a long chain necklace and black sunglasses.
While he kept his cool as he gave a soft smile, waved to the cameras and gave out a peace sign, his low-key outfit was actually perfectly on theme; the gala honored the late Karl Lagerfeld’s life and work as a prolific fashion designer, chief among which was Fendi.
Lagerfeld served as creative director of the Italian fashion brand from 1965 until his death in 2019 — one of the longest and most successful partnerships in the industry.
The former “Saturday Night Live” star, 29, walked the carpet solo – sans his girlfriend and “Bodies, Bodies, Bodies” co-star Chase Sui Wonders, whom he’s been dating since January.
Wonders, whose aunt is fashion designer Anna Sui, supported her boyfriend at the premiere of his forthcoming series “Bupkis” last week, though the two did not pose together and have yet to make their red carpet debut.
At the 2022 Met Gala, Davidson looked sharp in a simple black suit from Dior Men as he arrived on the arm of then-girlfriend Kim Kardashian, who stole the spotlight by wearing Marilyn Monroe’s “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” dress.
The famous funnyman will need to dodge multiple former flames at the high-profile charity event; Kardashian, Emily Ratajkowski and Margaret Qualley — who have all dated Davidson — walked the red carpet, while some of his other famous exes, like Ariana Grande, Kate Beckinsale and Kaia Gerber, skipped out.
After the glamorous event is over, Davidson will be back to work prepping to host “SNL” on Saturday, though Pvnew exclusively reported that he will leave Kardashian out of the jokes revolving around his illustrious love life.
The couple started dating after the reality star hosted the show — and the two kissed in an “Aladdin”-themed sketch. The inked-up comic later tattoed a tribute to the moment on his chest, but he removed his numerous designs dedicated to Kardashian post-breakup.
Before linking up with Kardashian, Davidson made his Met Gala debut in 2021, attending in a Thom Browne dress and white overcoat. The Skims founder politely rejected his request for her phone number at the event, which took place just a few weeks before they started dating.
Perhaps Davidson will spill everything that happens at this year’s party during his opening monologue on Saturday.
