Rihanna is set to hit the Met Gala carpet tonight glittering in millions of dollars in bling, Pvnew hears.
A source says that famously nocturnal pop star had a secret fitting for her gala look in the wee hours of Saturday morning at 3 a.m.
And that it involved $25 million in jewels from Cartier.
The theme for this year’s Met Gala, also known as the Super Bowl of Fashion, is “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.”
The event honors the designer, who passed in 2019, and was known for his work with Chanel, Balmain, Patou, Chloé and Fendi.
Over the weekend, the “Umbrella” singer stepped out in a vintage Chanel look and with “glasses” made out of the iconic “CC” logo to eat at Caviar Russe.
She also posted images of the ensemble, which was part of Chanel’s Fall 1994 ready-to-wear collection, to social media.
Rihanna has been a Met Gala staple for years, first attending in 2007.
Some of her looks have became iconic, including a yellow Guo Pei outfit she wore for 2015’s “China: Through The Looking Glass” theme and the silver John Galliano dress she donned for 2018’s “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.”
Other stars expected to climb the famous steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art include Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton, who is attending for the first time.
Pvnew has heard WNBA star Brittney Griner, who was released from Russian prison last December, will also be in attendance, as well as Salma Hayek, Pete Davidson, Olivia Rodrigo and Serena Williams.
The event is put together by Vogue’s Ann Wintour and raises money for the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute.
Rihanna is currently pregnant with her second child with rapper, A$AP Rocky. The pair share 11-month-old son Noah.
