F1 Miami 2023: Guide to all the Grand Prix parties and events

It’s almost lights out in the 305.

Miami’s biggest parties of the year will kick off next week as Formula 1 returns to the beachfront city.

The who’s who of the sport, entertainment, and business worlds will descend upon South Florida for star-studded fêtes ahead of the May 7 race at the Miami International Autodrome.

Reigning world champion Max Verstappen leads the 2023 points standings, and is the favorite to take home the trophy after standing on the top step in 2022.

Since the inaugural race last year, F1 has well and truly entered the cultural zeitgeist: Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc has a song in the iTunes top 10, AlphaTauri launched its season at New York Fashion Week, and Aston Martin driver Fernando Alonso was romantically linked to Taylor Swift.

Away from the track, it’s clear Art basel has some serious competition on the Miami social front, with F1 festivities including pricey private dinners, like the $3,000-a-head Carbone Beach and $6,000 per person once Upon a Kitchen event, along with parties at celebrity-loved hot spots, including LIV and E11EVEN.

Here’s everything you need to know about what’s happening across the Grand Prix weekend.

As if Carbone Beach could get any more exclusive, the Italian eatery’s $3,000-a-head dinner party in the sand will be “bigger and better” upon its return to the Miami Grand Prix for a second year.

Major Food Group, the creative force behind the celebrity-loved haunt, has once again joined forces with American Express for the ritzy fête, which was attended in 2022 by LeBron James, Venus and Serena Williams, James Corden, David Beckham, Rich Paul, Jamie Foxx, and more.

“Last year was such an incredible event, from the food to the people to the music, that really this year, our goal is to take it even further and make it even better,” Major Food Group co-founder Jeff Zalaznick told Pvnew.
