Todd Chrisley’s former daughter-in-law claims the disgraced reality star has a history of “bullying” her and acting racist toward her.

“I endured the bullying comments for years in silence, but karma dealt with it so that I didn’t have to,” Alexus “Lexi” Whilby alleged to the Daily Mail Wednesday.

Whilby was previously married to Chrisley’s oldest son, Kyle, from 2014 to 2018.

The exes do not have children together, but Kyle has a biracial daughter, 10-year-old Chloe, with ex Angela Johnson.

Todd, who is serving a 12-year prison sentence for tax evasion and fraud, previously had custody of Chloe with his wife, Julie Chrisley, as Kyle dealt with his own fair share of legal issues.

Whilby also told the Daily Mail of Todd, 54, “To see a grown man and public figure, who is the grandfather to a beautiful black child, say those horrible things was shocking.”

The former in-law shared with the outlet a voicemail message that she claims the “Chrisley Knows Best” alum once sent her as evidence of the alleged verbal abuse she experienced.

In the audio, Todd can be heard telling Whilby, “No darling, you don’t need protection. You need an attorney.”

He then states, “Call your brothers. Find out about that trust that you’ve got — that’s got that $100 million in it because I’m coming to get my part of it.”

Todd then claims that a lawsuit he filed against Whilby is “not a vendetta” but rather about “forcing her to do the right thing.”

The context of the call is unclear, and according to the Daily Mail, the former TV personality sent the message after he discovered that his ex-daughter-in-law had “aided the Georgia Department of Revenue in its investigation into his tax fraud scheme” in 2017.

Pvnew was unable to independently verify that the voicemail came from Todd, when the message was sent and whether it was a form of retaliation. Todd’s attorney did not immediately respond to our request for comment regarding Whilby’s allegations.

However, Todd has previously spoken out against his son’s ex, claiming that she was trying to “extort” him.

“Folks, Alexus Whilby tried to extort our family 4 20k or tell the press we r racist, we chose 2 keep the 20k and see her in court. #slander,” the former businessman tweeted in December 2014. The tweet is still active on his profile as of publication.

The reality star called his ex-daughter-in-law a “whore” and a “ho” at the time.

Whilby denied to the Daily Mail that Todd ever filed a lawsuit against her. In a separate tweet – which Todd sent after the first extortion claim – he did in fact use racist rhetoric toward his ex-daughter-in-law.

“Alexus Whilby stop being silly u fame seeking whore.. U can’t count high enough to reach me,” the father of five first wrote in April 2015 and then added later in the thread, “bye you tired ass weave wearing ashy skinned HO, u r blocked now, We are bored with pity for u.”

Both of the aforementioned tweets are still active on his profile as of publication.

Five years after that public bashing, Todd appeared to turn a corner by slamming a racist troll who came after his granddaughter Chloe.

In June 2020 – at the height of the Black Lives Matter movement – the reality TV alum wrote back to a follower who said people should “marry your own color.”

He said at the time that he hopes the “lord lets you live long enough to see that color doesn’t screw kids up, but ignorance and hate most certainly will.”

However, Whilby concluded to Daily Mail that she’s learned throughout this experience that it’s important to be “a good person behind the scenes and being true to yourself and others.”

“I walked away from a family who, at the time, seemed to have it all and many people thought that I was crazy,” she added.

“I was empowered. I know who I was then and now, and no amount of fame could make me compromise my morals.”
