Halsey and Alev Aydin have called it quits after two years of dating, with the songstress seeking full custody of their 1-year-old son, Ender Ridley.
According to court documents obtained by Pvnew, the 28-year-old filed for full physical custody on April 5.
However, Halsey — who uses “they/them” pronouns — requested joint legal custody and joint expenses with visitation rights.
Neither Halsey nor Aydin has addressed their split on social media, but a source close to the singer said the pair are on good terms.
“The split with them is totally amicable and they are co-parenting, they are going to raise their son together,” the insider told Pvnew on Tuesday.
The source further explained that Halsey “just had to file that way” because they are going on tour in the summer “and it’s a formality so the singer can bring their son with them.”
Reps for Halsey did not immediately respond to Pvnew’s request for comment.
The “Closer” singer announced they were expecting their first child in January 2021, while simultaneously confirming their relationship with the 40-year-old.
“Surprise!” the singer captioned a series of topless, baby bump-baring photos at the time.
Aydin, who was tagged in the post, shared the images to his Instagram Story before commenting, “Heart so full, I love you sweetness.”
Less than six months later, the then-couple welcomed their bundle of joy, with Halsey calling it “the most ‘rare’ and euphoric birth.”
Prior to welcoming their rainbow baby, the singer revealed they had “miscarried three times” before turning 24.
“It seemed a cruel irony that I could get pregnant with ease but struggled to maintain a pregnancy,” they wrote in a letter for Vogue following the Supreme Court’s recent decision to overturn Roe. v. Wade.
“One of my miscarriages required ‘aftercare,’ a gentle way of saying that I would need an abortion, because my body could not terminate the pregnancy completely on its own and I would risk going into sepsis without medical intervention.”
They went on to detail the horrific yet life-saving experience, saying they felt “afraid” and “helpless” but knew it was the only option.
While it’s unclear when the pair split, Halsey posted a Valentine’s Day tribute to Aydin back in February.
“❤️ ya’aburnee ❤️,” the singer captioned the photo kissing Aydin, which translates to “You bury me.”
They also posted a photo of the producer walking with their young son through a garden.
