It’s a … !
Maria Menounos and Keven Undergaro revealed the sex of their upcoming arrival, telling her podcast listeners Monday they have a baby girl on the way.
The “Heal Squad x Maria Menounos” host, 44, noted that her outfit choice during her “Live with Kelly and Ryan” reveal in February left fans convinced otherwise.
Notably, Menounos sported a blue dress while sharing the news that she and Undergaro, 55, conceived their first child via surrogate.
“Technically, it was periwinkle,” she joked Monday. “Everyone was like, ‘She’s having a boy!’ But we’re having a girl.”
As for names, Menounos explained that she and the producer have been brainstorming monikers throughout their “10-year journey” to starting a family.
“We’ve thought about names forever, and I think we’ve come up with the perfect name for this baby,” she gushed. “I do reserve the right to see her and make any last-minute decisions.”
The couple have been together since 1998, with Undergaro getting down on one knee during a “Howard Stern Show” appearance in 2016.
In December of the following year, the duo got married during Fox’s New Year’s Eve broadcast.
They tied the knot a second time in Greece in October 2018.
That same year, the pair revealed their surrogacy plans. “I do have some kids in the freezer,” Menounos told People, referring to the eggs she froze in 2016.
The journalist continued to speak candidly about the ups and downs of her and Undergaro’s “decade of trying” to have a baby.
“We’re trying so hard,” she told “Better Together With Maria Menounos” listeners in July 2021. “We have all this excitement and that just keeps not working.”
Menounos and Undergaro are considering moving out of Los Angeles to raise little ones in Tennessee.
“We want them somewhere where there will be kids next door to play with and you’re not afraid,” she explained in a January 2021 podcast episode. “L.A. just doesn’t have that.
“Especially in the kid phase of our lives, [I] want something different,” Menounos continued. “I think Nashville might be Mama Bear’s bed.”
