Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith looked very much in love while attending a New York Fashion Week event together on Sept. 12, just one day before their official separation.
The “Dawson’s Creek” star and the “Murder Mystery 2” actress attended the COS Autumn/Winter 2023 event aboard a boat and lovingly held hands.
It’s interesting to see since she marked their date of separation as Sept. 13, when she filed for divorce and cited “irreconcilable differences.”
In the photos from the event, Jackson, 45, can be seen wearing an oversized suit jacket and matching pants while posing with Turner-Smith, 37, who rocked a blazer with a plunging neckline. They both had big smiles on their faces as well.
However, that happiness was very short-lived as only hours later, she and Jackson parted ways.
The actress is asking for joint custody of their 3-year-old daughter, Juno, according to the divorce docs filed by Turner-Smith’s lawyer Laura Wasser and obtained by TMZ.
The “Sex Education” actress also requested to take spousal support off the table for both her and the “Affair” star, as they don’t have a prenup in place.
Their official breakup comes one year after it was first rumored that they had split when they stopped following each other on social media.
Jackson shut down that speculation, though, when he gushed over the “Queen & Slim” star, telling E! News, “She is undeniably one of the most beautiful women on the planet. And she always smashes it when she’s on the red carpet.”
He continued, “That is truly a wonder to behold. But I will tell you, that there is nothing like waking up in the morning, opening my eyes and seeing her face in the morning.”
They also attended the 2023 Academy Awards in March and looked very much like a couple.
Turner-Smith and the “Fringe” actor met during his 40th birthday party in 2018 and got engaged just a few months later when she proposed to him.
They quickly got married in December 2019, four months after obtaining a marriage license in LA that August, and welcomed their baby girl via a home birth in April 2020.
