Heidi Klum proved the peekaboo thong trend is nowhere near done on Instagram Friday, posting a video of herself shimmying her hips in a backless gold chainmail minidress that dipped low enough to show off her bedazzled G-string.
The 49-year-old supermodel set the sexy clip to Kim Petras’ song “Alone” — fitting, as she wore the cheeky style to a party hosted by the pop star.
Klum paired her metallic mini with black thigh-high boots and beach waves.
She’s far from the only celeb to show off her “whale tail” in recent months; Dua Lipa celebrated New Year’s Eve in a similar low-backed crystal mesh look by Ludovic de Saint Sernin that bared her booty (and bright white undies).
Hailey Bieber picked a similarly aughts-inspired ensemble to ring in 2023, opting for a strappy Mugler LBD that mimicked the look of an exposed thong.
But when it comes to what she wears, Klum might just be the boldest style star of them all.
When she’s not dazzling fans with her inventive Halloween costumes or snapping bikini selfies, the German-American beauty is stealing the spotlight on the red carpet with her always-daring dresses.
At February’s Grammys, for instance, Klum showed up in an ultra-plunging gold gown by The Blonds that was dripping with chains; in January, she hit the Golden Globes red carpet in a showgirl-worthy Germanier mini covered in silver sequins and purple feathers.
“She’s actually genius, because no matter what event or what show [she’s at], we’re talking about her,” “Fashion Police” co-host Melissa Rivers previously told Pvnew Style of Klum’s reliably wild looks.
“There is no reason for her to be at half of these shows or red carpets, and we end up talking about her every single time.”
