Sophie Turner picked an interesting dinner spot for her girls’ night out with Taylor Swift, Blake Lively and Brittany Mahomes in New York City over the weekend.
The actress and her gal pals dined at hotspot Emilio’s Ballato in Soho, just two months after her estranged husband, Joe Jonas, raved about the same Italian eatery.
“Emilio’s Ballato is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in New York,” Jonas told the Infatuation in a story published Aug. 23. “[The owner’s] a good friend of ours, and his whole family works there.”
The Jonas Brothers member marveled over the restaurant, calling it “the best taste of authentic New York City.”
“We’ve done a lot of family meals at Emilio’s, and I think we’ve done a few holiday meals there,” he shared.
“We always try to take over the back room, and he just opened up a speakeasy next door.”
Jonas, 34, recommended the “amazing” chicken parm, veal parm and eggplant parm, as well as his “go-to” pappardelle and tagliatelle meat pastas.
“It’s gonna have a line and they don’t take reservations,” explained Jonas, who also called Emilio’s the “best restaurant” in the Big Apple in a TikTok video by @isaaclikes_.
“So you have to go with enough time to wait. And don’t go with too many people, because the tables are better for four, max,”
Following her split from Jonas, it appears Turner is attempting to make new memories at the establishment with friends like Swift, who briefly dated the “Camp Rock” alum in 2008.
The “Game of Thrones” star, 27, and the “Love Story” singer, 33, were joined by Lively for their dinner outing Saturday night. Brittany Mahomes was also in tow amid amid Swift’s budding romance with husband Patrick Mahomes’ Kansas City Chief teammate, Travis Kelce.
Turner has been spending more time with Swift ever since Jonas filed for divorce on Sept. 5 after four years of marriage.
The Grammy winner has even loaned Turner an apartment to stay in after the former couple agreed to keep their two daughters – Willa, 3, and Delphine, 1 – in New York City as their tumultuous divorce wages on.
The agreement came after Turner sued Jonas and accused him of withholding their children’s passports to stop them from returning to her native England.
The “Sucker” singer quickly slammed the lawsuit and vehemently denied that he “abducted” their children.
