Kyle Richards has distanced herself from once-close pal Lisa Rinna since they wrapped filming for “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” Season 12, during which the former model made unsavory accusations about the actress’ half-sister, Kathy Hilton.
“Uh, well, we had sort of a falling out last season with what happened with my sister, so obviously, that changed a lot of things,” Richards exclusively told Pvnew Tuesday night at The Fleur Room West Hollywood, where she was hosting a night of music to raise awareness and funds for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
“I haven’t seen her, but we’ve sent each other text messages and DMs,” Richards added, making sure to note that she “reached out” when she “found out” about Rinna’s exit from the reality series.
“I don’t like to hold onto any negativity,” the Bravolebrity insisted. “I just want to move on from that.”
When asked where she stands with Hilton after the duo’s emotionally taxing last season, Richards, 54, replied coyly but with a hint of hope, “Well, we’re family. You know, it’s happened before, and we’ve fixed things.”
It was during the “RHOBH” cast trip to Aspen that Rinna claimed Hilton, 64, had a diabolical “psychotic break” that included bad-mouthing her own flesh and blood.
“She takes her glasses off, she throws them on the ground, she’s jumping up and down, breaking her glasses. She’s pounding the walls, and she’s screaming [that] she made Kyle, [that] Kathy’s responsible for Kyle,” Rinna alleged.
“And she said, ‘I will destroy Kyle and her family if it’s the last thing I ever do.'”
Rinna, 59, also claimed Hilton — whom she likened to “the devil” — boasted about having “big deals over at NBC” and said that “everyone [at the network] is protecting” her.
(Hilton notably starred on her daughter’s Peacock reality show, “Paris in Love;” Peacock and Bravo are both under the NBCUniversal umbrella.)
Though the socialite acknowledged that she may have lashed out during the meltdown in question, she vehemently denied speaking poorly about her baby sister.
For her part, Richards repeatedly asked Rinna to stop bringing up Hilton’s alleged comments because it was causing yet another rift between the sparring siblings, whose rocky past has included several bouts of not speaking to each other.
Over the years, the two have feuded over Kyle revealing their sister Kim Richards’ alcoholism on TV; Kyle’s husband, Mauricio Umansky, leaving Kathy’s husband Rick Hilton’s real estate firm to start his own; and Kyle producing a scripted show, “American Woman,” inspired by the trio’s late mother, Kathleen Richards.
Last year, Kyle and Kathy reconnected after losing a close friend, Lorene Shea, who died by suicide on May 1 at the age of 52.
In fact, Tuesday’s event was in her honor.
Through tears, Kyle told us, “I really want people to know that there is help out there.”
