Billionaire Patriots owner Robert Kraft has taken his friend Meek Mill with him to Poland to participate in the 35th International March of the Living, and to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.
We hear that Kraft and the Philly rapper — who’ve previously teamed on criminal justice-reform initiative Reform Alliance with Jay Z — will participate in the March of the Living on Tuesday.
They’re part of a delegation from Kraft’s Foundation to Combat Anti-Semitism, which has launched a new $25 million “Stand Up to Jewish Hate” campaign that’s being supported by Mike Tyson, Tom Brady, Jon Bon Jovi and more.
Said an insider of their journey together: “It’s not just standing up to Jewish hate, but [standing] up to all hate for the good of America. Most people in America are good people with good hearts, and are not haters.”
Also marching will be students, survivors and educators, as well as notable names such as Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav and CNN anchors Dana Bash and Wolf Blitzer, we hear, plus Kraft’s new wife, Dr. Dana Blumberg.
The march silently travels the Auschwitz-Birkenau complex — the largest Nazi concentration camp built during World War II. Kraft will light a torch as part of a ceremony illuminating six torches to commemorate the six million who died, sources said.
A ceremony marking the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising took place on Monday night, we hear.
A source said of Meek’s participation with Kraft, 81, that the rapper “had asked his friend Kraft about how he could do more to help others.” And that Kraft advised the recording artist, 35, that he could “be a leader in many areas, and build bridges” between people.
Kraft has previously said of starting his foundation to fight anti-Semitism: “I love this country, and we’re at a danger point, I’m sorry to say… I’ve never seen the hatred and bigotry that’s going on. This is the United States of America. And it’s something that really bothers me. So hopefully we’re going to do something about it.”
