Jon Bon Jovi’s mom, Carol Bongiovi, has died three days ahead of her 84th birthday.
The rocker confirmed his parent’s Tuesday passing to Page Six, remembering her as a “force to be reckoned with.”
The Grammy winner, 62, continued, “Her spirit and can-do attitude shaped this family. She will be greatly missed.”

Bon Jovi released the statement on behalf of his family, which includes her husband of 63 years, John Bongiovi Sr., and sons Anthony Bongiovi and Matthew Bongiovi, as well as their respective wives Nina and Desiree.
Carol is also survived by her eight grandchildren.
Bon Jovi is a father of four, with the singer sharing Stephanie, 31, Jesse, 29, Jake, 22, and Romeo, 20, with his wife, Dorothea Hurley.
The “Livin’ on a Prayer” crooner has long gushed over Carol as an early supporter of his career — and the 83-year-old even founded his eponymous fan club.
“[My parents] were always supportive of me, which in retrospect, was incredible,” Bon Jovi told the Big Issue in 2020 of launching his band in his teens.
“I could get home at one or two in the morning, and have to still be in school by eight o’clock,” he recalled. “They just said, ‘Show up on time for school, you know that is your responsibility, but pursue your dream.'”

Before becoming a mother, Carol was a Playboy Bunny and a member of the U.S. Marine Corps.
She met John while serving, and the couple raised their family in Sayreville, N.J., before ultimately settling in Holmdel, N.J.
Holmdel Funeral Home is handling Carol’s private funeral arrangements.
Bon Jovi has had a busy year, with his band’s Hulu docuseries, “Thank You Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story,” airing in April.
The musician sent tongues wagging with his scandalous comments about his marriage while doing press for the project, from admitting he wasn’t a “saint” to confessing he got “away with murder.”
Additionally, two of the guitarist’s children made headlines for their weddings, with Jesse walking down the aisle in Las Vegas in May and Jake marrying “Stranger Things” star Millie Bobbie Brown that same month.
