Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager stood up for Olivia Culpo after her wedding dress received negative feedback.
“[Culpo’s] wedding dress apparently is stunning and beautiful –– as is she –– but her wedding dress is causing a real stir online,” Kotb began on Tuesday’s episode of “Today with Hoda and Jenna.”
The broadcasters found Culpo’s Dolce & Gabbana long-sleeved ballgown “beautiful” and “very classic,” but they acknowledged that the “internet was divided” over the look.

“I don’t like reading negative comments from trolls. I really don’t. How about that? I don’t like reading anything negative,” Kotb, 59, clapped back at the haters.
Bush Hager, 42, agreed that Culpo, 32, looked “beautiful” and gave Kotb a cheers with their Hugo Spritz cocktails while asking, “Why does anybody feel like they get to comment on how she’s dressed?”
“One of the most beautiful women in the entire world!” Kotb said of the former Miss Universe.
Bush Hager chimed in that some people were “down in their basements saying she’s ‘too covered up.'”
“You can’t win!” Bush Hager continued, while Kotb added, “Everything’s beautiful, live your life.”
The television personalities discussed Culpo’s gown after both she and her now-husband, Christian McCaffrey, also slammed an influencer who said her dress had “no personality.”
“Wow what an absolutely evil person you are. I hope no one ever tears you apart in this way because it’s extremely hurtful. I love this dress and it was everything I wanted and more,” she commented on the influencer’s video last week.
McCaffrey, 28, also stood up for his wife and wrote under the same video, “What an evil thing to post online. I hope you can find joy and peace in the world, the way my beautiful wife does.”
The model further defended her look after another TikTok user called her a “pick me” girl for telling Vogue that she “skipped mascara, lip liner, and eyebrow makeup.”
“It was an interview….. they asked me what my makeup was………………………..” Culpo commented under the video last week.
Culpo and McCaffrey tied the knot in front of close friends and family in Rhode Island on June 29 –– a little over one year since he popped the question.
After her ceremony, Culpo changed into an off-the-shoulder chiffon dress for the reception and a bodysuit with a sheer mini cage skirt for the afterparty.
