Angus Cloud’s mom recalled the harrowing moment she found her son dead from a drug overdose.
Lisa Cloud revealed she discovered the “Euphoria” star slumped over on his desk in his childhood bedroom in Oakland, Calif., on the morning of July 31.
“This is where my boy passed away,” she told People in an interview published Monday while pointing at the late actor’s wooden desk.
Lisa recalled thinking her son had fallen asleep working on his art before realizing he wouldn’t wake up.
“I started shaking him and screaming. I pushed him hard, and he fell on the floor. I tried to resuscitate him — mouth to mouth — and I was compressing him,” Lisa said.
“I was screaming for my neighbor because I didn’t want to leave him and call 911, and I just kept at it until they took him away,” she continued through tears. “I miss him so much. He was the love of my life.”
Lisa also remembered Angus as being “so beautiful and creative,” saying, “He loved his home and he loved this little, tiny room.”
Pvnew confirmed last week that the actor died from an accidental overdose.
He suffered acute intoxication from a combination of drugs, including fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine and benzodiazepine, according to the Alameda County coroner.
Prior to his death, Angus was grieving the loss of his father, Conor Hickey, who passed away from cancer two months before.
A source told Pvnew that the actor had been struggling with suicidal thoughts after returning from Ireland where he father was buried.
Lisa previously spoke out about the tragic loss of her son and shut down speculation that his death was intentional.
In a Facebook post shared last month, she said the “Euphoria” star’s “last day was a joyful one.”
“He was reorganizing his room and placing items around the house with the intent to stay a while in the home he loved,” she recalled.
“He spoke of his intent to help provide for his sisters at college, and also help his mom emotionally and financially. He did not intend to end his life.”
Lisa also described the actor telling her goodnight and that he would see her in the morning.
“I don’t know if or what he may have put in his body after that,” she continued. “I only know that he put his head on the desk where he was working on art project’s [sic], fell asleep and didn’t wake up.”
Even though she didn’t know Angus’ autopsy results at the time, she assumed drugs were involved. However, she insisted that he “did not intend to check out of this world.”
