Taylor Swift once claimed that no guy had ever gone out of his way to try to get her attention — until Travis Kelce came along.
In a resurfaced 2012 interview with “Extra,” the “Love Story” singer joked that she expected the bare minimum from men after years of letdown.
“Nobody does anything crazy to get my attention as far as guys,” she said. “Like, I can’t remember, so I guess there hasn’t been anything.”
“Which is good, so it’s, like, easier, the bar is set really low for anyone I date in the future to come in and be, like, a great guy,” she continued.
“I’ll be like, ‘Oh, you exist? This is so crazy!'”
At that time, Swift had dated several Hollywood stars, including Joe Jonas, John Mayer and Jake Gyllenhaal.
Yet the pop star’s drought of grand romantic gestures definitely changed in July when Kelce revealed that he tried — and failed — to give her a handmade friendship bracelet with his phone number at one of her Eras Tour concerts.
“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” the NFL star told his brother and co-host, Jason Kelce, during an episode of their “New Heights” podcast.
“So I was a little butt-hurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.”
When Jason wondered whether he meant his phone number or jersey number, Travis cheekily replied, “You know which one.”
Despite not getting to meet face to face that day, Swift, 33, has obviously since heard about the athlete’s attempt at shooting his shot.
During an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” last week, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, also 33, revealed that he invited the Grammy winner to one of his football games.
“I told her, ‘You know, I’ve seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead [Stadium], you might have to come see me rock the stage in Arrowhead and see which one’s a little more lit,'” he said. “So, we’ll see what happens in the near future.”
Sure enough, Swift was spotted sitting next to Travis’ mother, Donna Kelce, at the Chiefs’ home game against the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
The “Bad Blood” songstress, who wore a Chiefs windbreaker and matching red sneakers, was all smiles while cheering on her rumored beau from his suite — even chest-bumping a friend after the tight end scored a touchdown.
After the game, the pair were seen driving off into the sunset together — literally — in the pro baller’s vintage purple convertible.
The two-time Super Bowl champion — who signed a four-year, $57.25 million deal in 2020 — reportedly rented out an entire rooftop restaurant so that the pair could celebrate the victory with his teammates and their respective partners.
Swift, who reportedly changed into a denim mini dress for the night, “was seen snacking, having some cocktails and dancing alongside Travis,” according to Entertainment Tonight.
“The two were very affectionate with one another but kept things fun and lighthearted,” a source told the outlet. “Travis’ teammates also showed up to the afterparty, as well as his mom and dad, Donna and Ed. The party lasted until 2 a.m.”
Meanwhile, another insider told the outlet that while the duo are “taking things slowly,” the “Anti-Hero” hitmaker was really impressed by Travis’ determination to get her attention.
“Travis has never shied away from his desire to give dating with Taylor a try, which he even said during a press conference a few months ago after seeing Swift in concert,” the source told the outlet.
“Both are very career-focused, so the focus is on that for now, but that’s not going to stop them from enjoying life when it’s the right moment.”
