Kelly Clarkson admitted she turned to a weight-loss drug to transform her body.
While chatting with Whoopi Goldberg about the EGOT winner’s use of the Type II diabetes drug Mounjaro to slim down, Clarkson admitted she has dabbled with one of her own.
“I’ve lost a lot [of weight] as well,” she said in Monday’s episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”
“Mine is a different one than people assume, but I ended up having to do that, too, because my blood work got so bad.”

Whoopi Goldberg used Mounjaro to 'jumpstart' her metabolism: 'I was 300 pounds,' 'couldn't breathe'
While Clarkson, 42, denied using the celebrity-favorite weight-loss drug Ozempic, she chose not to reveal the prescription she has been taking.
“My doctor chased me for two years, and I was like, ‘No, I’m afraid of it. I already have thyroid problems,'” the “Since U Been Gone” songstress added.
“Everybody thinks it’s Ozempic — it’s not — it’s something else, but it’s something that aids in helping break down the sugar. Obviously, my body doesn’t do it right.”
Clarkson said she didn’t realize how overweight she was until she started losing some pounds.
She recalled watching a video of herself and questioning, “Who the f–k is that?”
“My heaviest, I was 203 [pounds] and I’m 5 [foot] 3 and a half [inches tall],” the mom of two added. “It’s funny because people assume, ‘Oh, she must have been miserable and depressed or whatever,’ and I was like, ‘No, I was not.'”
Goldberg — who previously admitted to using Mounjaro after weighing 300 pounds — agreed with Clarkson’s statement that their weight-loss journey happened at a “gradual” pace.
While the “Stronger” singer hasn’t confirmed the amount of weight she’s lost, “Extra” reported she is down 60 pounds.
In November 2023, she was accused of using Ozempic to slim down after she shared a snap of her trimmed-down figure on social media.
However, the hitmaker credited her success to diet and exercise, telling People in January, “I dropped weight because I’ve been listening to my doctor — a couple of years I didn’t.”
“And 90% of the time I’m really good at it because a protein diet is good for me anyway. I’m a Texas girl, so I like meat — sorry, vegetarians in the world!”
The “American Idol” alum — who lives in New York City — noted that she also walks around Manhattan and frequently partakes in infrared saunas and cold plunges.
That same month, Clarkson shared that she also received a prediabetes diagnosis before losing weight.
