A man was arrested recently for attempting to break into Will Smith’s Los Angeles property, Page Six can /confirm/i.
A spokesperson for the Malibu/Lost Hill Sheriff’s Station tells Page Six Tuesday that police received a call of a suspicious person on May 1 in the afternoon around 4:06 p.m. PT.
We’re told deputies were first told that the suspect was in the vicinity of Smith’s residence, but then received a second call that informed officers the same person had made it onto the movie star’s property.

According to TMZ, Smith’s security team intervened during the ordeal, detaining the man before he was able to actually make it inside the “Men In Black” star’s home.
The suspect — who has been identified as 37-year-old Robert Ogden — was arrested for trespassing.
Per online records, he was booked on a misdemeanor charge. The description notes that he is a black male that weighs 218 pounds, stands at 6-feet-tall, is bald and has brown eyes.
The public information officer confirms to Page Six that as of Tuesday afternoon, the suspect is no longer in custody. online records also show a release date for Ogden of May 3.
Page Six has reached out to Smith’s reps for comment but did not immediately hear back. The “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” alum has not addressed the incident on social media.
Smith was reportedly not at home at the time of the intrusion, and the police spokesperson confirms to us that “it does not appear” that anyone was injured since that information is not detailed in their report.
The Smith family has unfortunately fallen victim to other home invasions in the past.
In 2015, a woman named Ariel Archer was charged with trespassing and sentenced to three years probation after forcing herself into Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s property.
The famous family’s housekeeper reportedly found the woman in the kitchen and called police.
Home invasions appear to be on the rise in Los Angeles. Many celebs have been targeted, including Valerie Bertinelli, John Mayer and more recently, Netflix star Farrah Aldjufrie.
