You can’t make this up.
“Sabrina the Teenage Witch” star Melissa Joan Hart’s oldest son, Mason,18, is dating a girl named… Sabrina.
“My oldest one just got his pilot’s license and his first girlfriend, it’s all happening,” the actress, 48, exclusively told Page Six at the PvNew 2024 Power of Women luncheon presented by Lifetime last week.
The actress – who famously portrayed the character of Sabrina in the hit ’90s sitcom – then added, “Her name is Sabrina,” noting that it’s “not a common name, at least in North America.”

Hart appreciates the absurdity of the situation, confessing it was “very hard” for her to “get used” to yelling “Sabrina” in her household.
“The other day at prom, I was trying to get her attention and calling out, ‘Sabrina!’ People must have thought I was insane,” she added with a laugh.
However, the “Clarissa Explains It All” alum shared that she’s a big fan of Sabrina as she believes she’s a good influence on her son.
“He bought me flowers for Valentine’s Day so that can’t be bad,” she enthused. “I can’t hate on the girlfriend when she’s helping him make good decisions.”
Hart – who shares two other sons, Braydon, 16, and Tucker, 11, with husband Mark Wilkerson – revealed that her household is buzzing now that her children are older.
“I’ve got one graduating [high school], two driving now. So bigger kids, bigger problems,” she shared.
“I tell all the young parents out there, zero to five [years] takes forever, and then after five…what the hell happened? It’s kind of like that saying, ‘The days are long, years are short.’ Man is it true!”
Hart, who began her acting career as a child, also told Page Six that she has watched the controversial HBO Max documentary series “Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV.” While the series highlights alleged abuses on some Nickelodeon shows, she stressed that wasn’t at all her experience.
“It’s very upsetting,” she explained. “I’m very thankful for the fact that I was not in that situation…so that was not my experience. It is a really upsetting story.”
Hart can be seen in the upcoming movie “The Bad Guardian” opposite La La Anthony, which premieres May 18 on Lifetime.
