Father of six and Tori Spelling’s estranged husband Dean McDermott is not on speaking terms with his eldest son.
“Never say never, but I think that we’re just in a really great place, both of us,” 25-year-old Jack McDermott told Us Weekly on Thursday when discussing the possibility of a reconciliation at the Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center West Hollywood grand opening.
Jack is shared by the actor and his ex-wife, Mary Jo Eustace. They were married between 1993 and 2006. Dean went on to walk down the aisle with Spelling that same year.

“So, I just don’t think in the foreseeable future [a reconciliation is] anything that I want,” he added. “It’s not on the top of my list of priorities.”
It’s not clear when Jack and Dean’s relationship soured. Page Six did not immediately receive a response from Dean’s rep for comment.
The former “Chopped Canada” host, 57, and Jack seemed to be on good terms two years ago when they posed together at the latter’s San Francisco State University graduation.
Dean even gushed about his son’s accomplishments on Instagram at the time, writing, “So proud of this young man!! … So grateful to take part in this celebration and journey with @jackmonty and @maryjoeustace.”
A few months later, Jack publicly defended his father, Spelling and their five children after Eustace allegedly came after their family on her and Dean’s “Ex’s & Uh-Ohs” podcast.
“For 17 years my father has atoned for mistakes He’s made in the past. He has grown so much as a person. Up until a week ago, our two families where [sic] living in harmony,” Jack wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post.
Addressing his mother’s comments, he added, “I ask that the information shared on ‘Ex’s & Uh-Ohs’ be taken with a grain of salt.”
“From my mother,” Jack went on, “I ask that you please respect me, and my blended family. Please avoid creating any additional strain on our family dynamic.”
“These past few years have been nothing but peace and happiness, and I ask that we continue to try and keep it that way.”
Jack is the eldest of Dean’s six offspring. With Spelling, he shares Liam, 17, Stella, 15, Hattie, 12, Finn, 11, and Beau, 7.
Jack also told Us Weekly that he wishes his siblings “well” and alluded to Dean not being a present father.
“I know Tori’s probably going to be having to do a majority of the parenting now, so I just hope she’s the best mother that she can be. And those kids deserve the world, so I hope that she can give it to them,” he said.
Spelling, 50, spent much of 2023 taking care of their kids as a single mom as Dean worked on his drinking addiction in a sober living facility. Dean confirmed in November 2023 that he had not seen his kids with the “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum in five months.
He announced their split in June 2023 after a “drunk and angry” fight. Although he quickly deleted the post, his revelation confirmed months of rumors that the pair were on the rocks.
Spelling officially filed for divorce in March, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason.
She appeared to move on with advertising CEO Ryan Cramer, whom she was caught sucking face with last fall. However, it’s unclear if they are still an item.
McDermott is dating Lily Calo. They have known each other since at least December 2022.
