Nick Viall and Natalie Joy are getting the hang of their postpartum sex life two months after welcoming daughter River.
The Bachelor Nation member told “Viall Files” podcast listeners Thursday that while he and his fiancée haven’t “logistically … cracked that code,” their “spirit is still there.”
The former reality star, 43, explained that he and the 25-year-old partially have had a “hard time” getting intimate post-baby because Joy’s mom has been living with them.

“The best we could have done was, ‘Here, we’re going to go into the bedroom’ and that feels odd,” Viall explained. “So, we haven’t got that comfortable with her mom yet.”
He noted that their daughter, River, is also “obviously always by [their] side.”
When Joy brought up Scott Disick’s previous confession that postpartum sex felt like Kourtney Kardashian’s “furniture was rearranged … inside [her] vagina,” Viall insisted his partner felt “just like old times.”
“It wasn’t like, ‘Same but different.’ No,” he said. “To be honest, I wasn’t really sure [how it would go].”
He went on to say that Joy’s gynecologist “high-fived” him in the delivery room due to the surgical technologist having a “great pelvic floor.”
Viall recalled, “I didn’t know what she [meant], but she said I was a ‘lucky man’ and gave me, like, a fist bump.”
The couple confessed that they sometimes hook up in their backyard Jacuzzi, which Viall referred to as their “sex tub.”
Joy joked, “Every time Nick’s like, ‘Should we hot tub tonight?’ I’m like, ‘Am I in the mood to hot tub but also to have sex? Let me see.'”
The pair began dating in 2020, with Viall getting down on one knee three years later.
In August 2023, the duo announced that they were starting a family.
River was born in February of the following year, with Viall gushing via Instagram that parenting their baby girl has been “the best part of [his] life so far.”
Viall was runner-up on Andi Dorfman’s season of “The Bachelorette” before joining Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season of the show. He went on to star on “Bachelor in Paradise” and then became “The Bachelor,” where he got engaged to Vanessa Grimaldi.
