Tyler Cameron slammed “Golden Bachelor” stars Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist for putting a “stain” on the franchise with their bombshell divorce.
“They have put a true stain on love in the ‘Bachelor’ world,” the “Bachelorette” alum explained during Wednesday’s episode of “The Happy Hour” on SiriusXM’s TODAY Show Radio.
“Three months?! They make all my relationships seem very long. You know what I mean? Like, golly, I’m a dating expert compared to them,” Cameron, who was previously linked to models Gigi Hadid and Camila Kendra, said.

Cameron, who starred in “The Bachelorette” during Hannah Bown’s season in 2019, added that Turner’s season of “The Golden Bachelor” brought back joy to the franchise as audience members witnessed his search for true love.
“They put a stain on love and Bachelor Nation because it was the most wholesome [experience],” he said. “Then they just pulled the rug right out from under us.”
The TV personality, 31, also compared the former couple’s relationship to his dad, explaining the patriarch is “old,” “single,” and set in his ways.
“[My dad] can’t find anyone that wants to deal with the stuff he does … he doesn’t want to change much either and I imagine Jerry and Theresa don’t want to change their ways,” Cameron continued.
“Jerry and Theresa don’t want to change their ways. He doesn’t want to leave Indiana where his family is and she doesn’t want to leave — New Jersey.”
He added, “Like it’s just two stubborn old people, you know? And when you get older you get more stubborn.”
On April 12, Turner, 72, and Nist, 70, revealed they were divorcing shortly after saying “I do” during a televised wedding on Jan. 4, 2024.
“Theresa and I have had a number of heart-to-heart conversations, and we’ve looked closely at our situation, our living situation, so forth, and we’ve kind of come to the conclusion mutually that it’s probably time for us to dissolve our marriage,” Turner said during an interview with “Good Morning America.”
Nist backed up her estranged husband, adding, “We have received so much love and support from so many people who watched ‘The Golden Bachelor,’ and I don’t think we can tell you how many people told us that it gave them so much hope. We want none of that to change for anybody.”
Throughout their short-lived marriage, the duo maintained a long-distance relationship as they chose to stay close to where their children live in Indiana and New Jersey, respectively.
“We looked at homes in South Carolina, we considered New Jersey, and we just looked at homes after home, but we never got to the point where we made that decision,” Nist continued.
On Monday, Nist spoke out separately about their split after receiving backlash from fans judging her broken relationship.
Alongside an inspirational quote posted to her Instagram Story, she asked the critics “to find it in [their] heart” to understand why she made the difficult decision.
She furthered being married to Turner was ”one of the most incredible experiences.”
Nist was previously wed to her late husband William “Bill” Nist, whom she shares two kids with. As for Turner, he shares two children with his ex-wife, Toni Turner.
