The identity of Valerie Bertinelli’s boyfriend has been unveiled.
The actress, 63, is dating writer Mike Goodnough, who confirmed their relationship via an essay he wrote for his Substack site on Wednesday.
“I am Valerie Bertinelli’s boyfriend… and that may well be among the most surreal sentences I’ve ever pecked out,” he penned. “But it’s true… and nothing about our actual relationship seems surreal. It just seems… good… lucky… a gift.”
“Life is crazy, kids. It just is. Goodnough, who goes by “Hoarse Whisperer” on the site, further gushed that he simply adores the “One Day at a Time” alum and is “so glad” they’re together.
While at one point in his post he discussed a “rumor” about them meeting at a Panera Bread in New Jersey, he promised followers to reveal exactly how they began dating on his Substack page next week. However, the Emmy winner previously said they met on Instagram.
While Goodnough officially confirmed he is Bertinelli’s mystery boyfriend, the pair had previously hinted they were an item in the past.
