JoJo Siwa spent $50,000 to change her teeth because she felt “insecure,” and now Page Six Style can exclusively reveal exactly how celebrity dentist Dr. Kevin Sands redesigned the “Karma” singer‘s smile.
After undergoing a thorough examination to determine whether medical treatment would be needed in addition to cosmetic, Siwa received a customized plan for her veneers.
“Even with all of her adult teeth, she had an immature smile with some staining, unevenness, chipping and discoloration that we wanted to address to create a more mature, appropriate smile with facial harmony and symmetry that worked with her jawline, gums and lips,” Sands tells us, noting that some of the “Dance Moms” alum’s teeth also were “very small.”
Siwa’s plan included veneers for her top and bottom teeth to address common issues such as discoloration, shape and misalignment.

After the 20-year-old and Sands worked together to decide her veneers’ shape, color and size, the cosmetic dentist removed “a small percentage” of each tooth’s surface, which we’re told was about as thick as a fingernail.
Siwa then was fitted with a set of “temporary teeth” so she could get used to what the permanent veneers would feel like when they were placed a few weeks later.
“once the veneers are securely in place, we polished them to a smooth, lustrous finish, enhancing their natural appearance and durability,” Sands says.
The Beverly Hills, Calif.-based dentist charges around $3,000 to $5,000 per tooth depending on the work needed, but he declined to specify how many teeth Siwa had replaced.
The “So You Think You Can Dance” judge, however, had no qualms about revealing at the 2024 GLAAD Media Awards in March that she spent “50 grand” on “these motherf–kers.”
Siwa, who has undergone a major rebrand, shared on “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” last November that she is always being “judged” for her appearance.
“You know, people told me I have a receding hairline; they don’t know that I have a stress rash and that’s why I’m balding right here,” she said at the time.
“A 12-year-old shouldn’t have a stress rash on their head that makes them bald, but I did.”
