Christina Applegate revealed she could have been a “Housewife.”
The “Dead to Me” star shared on her “MeSsy” podcast Tuesday that she was approached to join “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” about a decade ago but turned down the offer.
“And what’s funny is I ended up becoming really good friends with the executive producer of it because our kids went to school together,” she told her co-host, Jamie-Lynn Sigler.
“And he’s like, ‘Oh, yeah, we asked you.’ I said, ‘Chris, now that you know me, would I have been a fun “Housewife”?’ He’s like, ‘No, it would’ve been the most boring s–t I’ve ever seen in my life.'”

Applegate, 52, agreed she would have been a boring cast member because of her antisocial tendencies.
“I wouldn’t have shown up to any dinners,” the “Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead” star shared. “I would’ve been in my sweatpants, and I’d be lying in bed. What fun is that? No, none of that.
“No, no. I would be the worst ‘Housewife’ anyway.”
Although she did not join the beloved reality show, which includes cast members Kyle Richards and Erika Jayne, Applegate has remained an avid fan of the franchise, especially “The Real Housewives of New York City.”
Her hairstylist, Adir Abergel, revealed he and the “Sweetest Thing” actress watched “RHONY” while she was getting ready for her “overwhelming” appearance at the 2024 Emmys, where she received a standing ovation as she walked out onto the stage with her “FU MS” cane.
Applegate shared in August 2021 that she had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
She and Sigler, 42, launched their podcast in early March to discuss their respective battles with the disease, which affects the central nervous system.
The “Sopranos” alum received her diagnosis when she was just 20 years old but did not share it publicly until 2016.
